Our commitment to the gospel drives growth at Crossroads. And we’re seeing a lot of it! Worship is crowded. Parking is tight. We had to limit our AWANA children’s ministry this last year simply because we don’t have enough room for all of the kids. Our middle and high school students meet in classrooms designed for children. And our staff has begun a fifth year off-campus while our building misses the energy they bring.

While these problems are good challenges to be facing—because they mean many lives are hearing the good news of Jesus Christ—they have led us to build a Ministry Center that will help us adequately meet our ministry needs brought about by our growth.

This project is entirely funded by the generosity and faithfulness of our church—as are all ministries at Crossroads—through a campaign we are calling POURED OUT. Our new ministry center will be a tool to further our mission by providing space for our staff to serve our people, adults to grow in faith, and students to grow.

Q. What are we building?

A. We are building a 7,800 square foot, one-story, brick building that will provide space for students, adult education, and our pastoral/ministry staff:

  • The student space will provide worship, teaching, recreation, and gathering space for up to 200 high school and middle school students, built and designed specifically for them. This room will also provide space for adult ministry opportunities and larger events as needed.

  • Office space will serve 15 members of staff with a volunteer work room and conference room for smaller meetings.

  • We are also building an adult education classroom with room for 35 adults to be equipped.

  • The addition of this building to our campus also includes much needed additional parking along the side and rear of our current building.

Q. What is the timeline?

A. Construction began in late September, 2018. The foundation is in. The building is enclosed. Framing is complete. And concrete is poured. We expect to be in the building by late summer, 2019!

Q. What does all this cost?

A. We began by remodeling our atrium. That project was completed for $90,000; on time and under budget. The new building, parking, furnishings and equipment will cost a total of $1,500,000.

Q. How are we paying for this?

A. Our people have been very generous so far. We have raised just over $1 million toward the total cost. We have secured bank funding for the remaining balance, but every dollar we continue to raise helps reduce additional debt. With the help of generous Crossroads members, we could pay cash for the entire project. Not only would this make us stronger heading into our next season of fruitful ministry, but paying cash also gets us much closer to building our desired dedicated worship space within the next few years.

Q. How can I help?

A. First, pray! Then give.

  • Pray for the safety of the workers. Pray for our church to stay focused on our mission to make, baptize, and teach followers of Jesus Christ. Get more deeply involved in the life of our church. Ask God to reveal how he would have you take part in Poured Out.

  • Your gift of any amount will help make our ministry center a reality. Here’s how:

    • If you’ve already committed back when we first launched Poured Out—thank you! Simply keep the commitment you made.

    • If you’ve fallen a little behind, commit to catch-up over the next few months.

    • If you are new to the Crossroads family, or new to giving, now is the time to join us at the ground level!

    • If you are able, extend or add to your original commitment.
